What is a consultation?
It is a meeting to discuss the client’s ideas, or to brainstorm and help the direction of the design. We will go over details regarding the design, along with the placement, size, and budget.
Do I need a consultation?
Typically, smaller designs do not require a consult: all details can be discussed with a quick email or phone call. Custom designs usually require a consult to discuss the design and may require a follow up before the appointment. Large scale work, such as sleeves or panels, will require a consult to go over ideas, placement, etc, and will require a follow up.
How can I make an appointment?
Give us a call at 906 259 7171 to book an appointment or to set up a consultation. Not every tattoo needs a consult, but if needed, you can fill out the consultation form and we will get back to you to set up a date and time. Please note that all tattoo appointments require a non refundable $50 minimum deposit which goes towards the cost of the tattoo. Large scale work will require a $100 deposit.
What if I can’t make my appointment?
Deposits are non refundable, but if you give us at least 72 hours notice, we will transfer your deposit to a new appointment. Any no-shows or cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit their deposit.
Do you take walk-ins?
We try to accommodate walk-ins. Feel free to stop on in or give us a call ahead of time.
How much does a tattoo cost?
Minimum charge: $80, Hourly rate: $125, Day session: $800. Each of our tattoos is a unique, individual piece of artwork. This means it’s often difficult to provide a price with any certainty until we have fully discussed your ideas. Once we’ve had a discussion about your design we will provide a final price range for your tattoo. Of course, we do realize that many customers will want to have an idea of price before coming into the studio, and because of this we provide a very rough guide to our pricing below. Tattoos that take less than 3 hours: Any tattoo that takes less than 3 hours will be charged within a set price range, quoted specifically for that exact piece. The minimum charge for such a piece is $80, which generally only covers a very small, simple tattoo on a limb. Tattoos that take more than 3 hours: Tattoos that take longer than 3 hours are charged at an hourly rate, which is $125. The length of time it takes to complete a tattoo (and therefore the price) varies with size, style, design complexity and the area of the body to be tattooed. Flat, stable areas such as forearms, thighs and calves are usually relatively quick to tattoo compared to trickier areas such as the ribs, sternum, abdomen and neck.
